What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), work in a similar way. We use them only to the extent described below.
What We Use
Strictly necessary. These do not require consent, because without them the website cannot work as you expect:
- remembering your chosen theme (light or dark) – in the browser's local storage, until you change it or clear your browser data;
- cookieyes-consent – remembers your cookie choice so that we do not ask you on every visit; set by the CookieYes consent management platform; expires after one year;
- Cloudflare Turnstile – protects the contact form against automated requests; it checks browser and device characteristics and is not used for advertising or tracking.
Cookieless statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics record visits in aggregate (pages viewed, device type, approximate country) without setting cookies and without tracking you across websites.
Analytics cookies (only with consent). If you allow them, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which pages are useful:
- _ga – distinguishes individual visitors; expires after two years;
- _ga_[container ID] – stores the session state; expires after two years.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited. More information: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We do not use advertising or social media cookies.
Managing Your Consent
Consent is managed through the CookieYes platform. On your first visit you will see a message in which you can accept, reject or customise the individual categories of cookies. Until you give consent, Google Analytics does not set any cookies.
You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button that remains in the bottom corner of the page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary functions may then not work properly.
Changes to This Policy
If we change the cookies or services we use, we will update this page. The date of the last change is shown at the top.
